We're Theo and Axel. We've been on both sides of hiring — screening hundreds of applicants, and sending hundreds of applications ourselves. We think the process is stuck decades in the past, so we started an AI recruiting agency to fix it.
At Alan, Axel saw how much time gets buried in screening. Brilliant people applied and got lost in the pile. Meanwhile, friends around him were spending months tweaking CVs and writing cover letters for roles they'd never hear back from - while opportunities that would have been perfect for them went completely unnoticed.
Theo saw the same thing from the other side, helping recruit for a mental health helpline at Cambridge. Hundreds of applications for a handful of spots. Weeks spent reading through them. The conversations at the end were the part that actually mattered. Everything before that was just trying to get there.
The problem is the same on both sides: too much time on the wrong things. Candidates pour hours into applications that go nowhere. Recruiters pour hours into filtering before they ever talk to anyone. The work that actually matters - understanding people, finding the right fit, having real conversations - gets squeezed out by admin.
Prism is an AI recruiting agency. We handle the screening, the sourcing, the matching - so the companies we work with don't have to. We also make our tools available directly for teams that want to run the process themselves.
For candidates, we care about getting you to the right opportunity. Not just any job. We find roles you wouldn't have found yourself, and we make sure the right ones actually reach you.
But we don't think AI should replace the human side of hiring. It should clear the way for it. The judgment calls, the relationship-building, the context that only a person can bring - that's the work worth protecting.
Thanks for being here.
