1001 AI — Senior Product Engineer (P2)
About 1001 AI: AI-native OS for MENA heavy industries (aviation, construction, ports, energy). Lux Capital / General Catalyst / CIV backed. Engineering team mostly ex-Scale AI / Palantir. Locations: London + Doha + Dubai + Abu Dhabi.
One-line pitch: Frontend-focused product engineer who makes our applications feel excellent, not just functional. Owns the quality, polish, usability, and frontend craft of our enterprise product surfaces.
This is a craft hire, not a generalist frontend role. The JD explicitly calls for "strong frontend taste — someone with visual OCD."
Responsibilities:
- Improve the quality, usability, and polish of frontend applications across deployments
- Turn rough product ideas, customer feedback, and internal prototypes into clean, intuitive product experiences
- Work closely with full-stack engineers, forward deployed engineers, and customers to understand workflows and make them easier to use
- Build reusable frontend patterns, components, layouts, and interaction models across products
- Raise the frontend bar across the team through better design systems, component quality, accessibility, responsiveness, and visual consistency
- Prototype new product surfaces quickly, then harden them into maintainable production frontend code
- Help translate complex AI, optimization, and enterprise workflows into clear, usable interfaces
Requirements:
- 3–5 years building high-quality production frontend or full-stack products
- Strong with TypeScript, React, modern frontend architecture, and component-driven development
- Strong product taste and UX intuition, with the ability to make enterprise software feel simple, polished, and modern
- Comfortable owning frontend quality across visual design, interaction design, state management, performance, and maintainability
- Able to work from ambiguous requirements and turn them into clear product experiences
- High velocity, but cares deeply about polish and user experience
- Comfortable collaborating directly with customers and internal stakeholders
- Uses AI coding agents effectively but remains fully accountable for code quality
Bonus:
