@ 1001ai
Security Engineer at 1001 AI (P2). First dedicated security hire. Owns security across product and infra, and runs security conversations with enterprise customers.
Responsibilities: Own security across product, infrastructure, cloud environments, and corporate systems beyond what the engineering team can cover at a surface level; manage and secure company-wide SaaS and workspace accounts (Google Workspace, Microsoft, Slack, GitHub, cloud, IdP, password managers, device policies, access controls); establish strong internal security practices for 1001; lead customer-facing security reviews, questionnaires, procurement conversations; define and implement security controls, threat models, and policies; build secure-by-default patterns into the platform and deployment workflows; drive compliance work (SOC 2, ISO 27001, regional equivalents); respond to security incidents.
Requirements: 5+ years in security engineering, with significant time in product or cloud security at a B2B / enterprise SaaS company; can break things, not just write policies; strong with cloud security (AWS / GCP / Azure), application security, identity and access; comfortable and credible in customer-facing security and compliance conversations; hands-on, ships the controls themselves.
Bonus: AI-specific risk experience (data handling, model and prompt security, agentic systems).
Company: 1001 AI - AI-native OS for critical MENA industries. Lux/GC/CIV. On-prem / sovereign cloud enterprise deployments.
