Now, we’re looking for a driven and inspiring State Sales Manager to lead the charge, elevate our automotive sales operations, and take the business to its next level of growth. 🚀 About the Role This is a hands-on leadership role for a proven people manager who can lead from the front, inspire a diverse sales team, and deliver exceptional customer outcomes. Managing a team of 10+ driven sales consultants and finance brokers, you’ll own the end-to-end sales process, drive performance across online and in-store teams, and collaborate with multiple departments to ensure customers experience a seamless journey — from first enquiry to final handover. You will be involved in the strategy of state, national sales and a $100m P&L, end-to-end operations and growth of the retail business. 🛠 What You’ll Drive ● Sales Leadership: Manage a growing team of high-performing sales professionals across online and onsite channels. ● Performance Management: Coach, motivate, and develop team members to consistently hit and exceed targets. ● Aftermarket Growth: Drive penetration of value-added products like finance, warranties, and protection plans. ● Customer Experience: Ensure every interaction reflects our mission of making car buying joyful and effortless. ● Operational Collaboration: Partner with Refurb, Logistics, and CX teams to streamline handovers and improve efficiency. ● Insights & Reporting: Analyse conversion data, team KPIs, and customer feedback to identify and execute improvements. ● Strategic Execution: Align sales and marketing initiatives to optimise lead quality and improve ROI. 🎯 What Success Looks Like ● Meeting and exceeding monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets ● Growing conversion rates across digital and physical channels ● Increasing penetration of finance and aftercare products ● Maintaining world-class CSAT and NPS scores ● Developing a motivated, accountable, and results-driven team 👤 What You’ll Bring ● 3–5+ years’ experience in sales leadership or management, ideally in automotive, retail, startup, enterprise (high-ticket) or fast-paced consumer environments ● Proven success in meeting and exceeding sales targets ● Strong communication, coaching, and team-building skills ● Analytical mindset with the ability to translate data into actionable results ● Customer-first mentality and high EQ to handle both people and performance conversations ● Ability to work Saturday (must)— that’s when the magic happens! 💰 What’s On Offer ● Competitive base salary + uncapped monthly commissions + super ● Annual wellness bonus & monthly phone allowance ● 5 day working week with 1 weekday RDO and Sunday off; 9am to 5pm hours ● On-site parking at our state dealership ● Tools of the trade (Apple products, tech-stack) provided ● 6 months paid parental leave @ 80% salary ● Novated Leasing to help save using pre-tax income ● Employee Assistance Program (EAP) & parental leave benefits ● Regular team and company-wide social events ● Work directly with our Business Head and CEO – be part of Australia’s fastest-growing auto-tech business ● Opportunity for ESOP grants and equity in the business pre-IPO 🌟 Why Join Cars24?
