About HireGlide
HireGlide is building the next generation of hiring infrastructure.
We help companies screen and match candidates using AI-driven interviews, CV intelligence, and smart matching — so hiring teams spend time on great candidates, not admin.
We’re early, fast-moving, and product-driven. You’d be one of the first engineers shaping both the technology and the company.
The Role
We’re looking for a Founding Engineer to help us build the core of the product end-to-end.
This is not a narrow “frontend” or “backend” role. You’ll own systems, make architectural decisions, and ship real features directly to customers.
You’ll work closely with the founders on:
- Designing and building our core web app (Next.js)
- Backend systems for CV ingestion, parsing, scoring, and matching
- AI pipelines (RAG, embeddings, LLM workflows)
- Integrations with ATSs and external APIs
- Scaling a production product used by real hiring teams
What We’re Looking For
Must-haves
- Strong engineer with solid fundamentals (we care about intellectual rigor, not just framework familiarity)
- Experience as an engineer at a real startup or growth tech company (this is the most important)
- Comfortable with both frontend and backend, or backend-leaning full-stack
- Experience with modern web stacks (e.g. Next.js / React + backend APIs)
- Ability to work independently, move fast, and own ambiguous problems
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with AI systems: RAG, vector search, embeddings, LLM integration
- Prior founding engineer or early employee experience
- Experience building B2B SaaS products
- Strong product sense (cares about UX, not just code)
- Familiarity with Postgres, Supabase, or similar stacks
Background
- Bachelor's degree in engineering/Computer Science/Maths or equivalent experience
- We care far more about evidence of real engineering impact than formal credentials
What You’ll Get
- Founder-level impact and ownership
- Meaningful equity upside
- Direct influence on product, architecture, and company direction
- Fast learning, real responsibility, and visibility
- The chance to build core infrastructure in a venture-scale company
Who This Is For
This is ideal for someone who:
- Has already worked at a startup and wants real ownership
- Is tired of being “just another engineer”
- Enjoys building from zero and solving hard, ambiguous problems
- Wants to work at the intersection of AI, product, and systems
