About Layerup: Layerup is building the agentic AI operating system for insurance — AI agents that run end-to-end claims and underwriting workflows inside Fortune 500 carriers, TPAs, MGAs, and specialty insurers. Backed by Y Combinator (S22), Pioneer Fund, and Founders Inc.
The role: This is Layerup's first AI Strategist and founding go-to-market hire. We're looking for a former top-tier strategy consultant with deep Chief Claims Officer / C-suite relationships at large insurance carriers, who can lead our enterprise carrier sales motion end-to-end — discovery, demos, procurement, and closing. The mandate is to close $10M+ in carrier revenue within 12 months. This person negotiates on commission, not base.

Compensation: Base $80k–$100k + uncapped 10% commission. Year-1 OTE $150k–$200k+ (no ceiling) plus early-stage equity.
Location: US-based (must be). Flexible on work mode — onsite, hybrid, or remote.
