About the Role As a Mobile Engineer at InstaLILY, you'll own the mobile surface of our AI agent platform: the apps that put autonomous agents directly in the hands of field technicians, sales reps, and operators at our enterprise customers. You'll work closely with the Lead Software Engineer, product, and design to ship high-performance native experiences that hold up in the wild: spotty warehouse Wi-Fi, gloved-hand inputs, and offline-first workflows.

This role is client-facing. You'll build and ship mobile apps that operate inside our customers' frontline workflows, and you'll be in regular working sessions with stakeholders at enterprise customers. You need to code at a high bar and communicate decisions clearly.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and own production iOS applications (Swift / SwiftUI) that integrate deeply with Instalily's AI agent platform; extend to Android via React Native where it makes sense
• Partner with product, design, and backend engineers to take features from Figma to App Store, including offline-first sync, push notifications, and on-device inference where relevant
• Build for the frontline: optimize for performance, battery, reliability, and the edge cases that matter in real operating environments (warehouses, service trucks, retail floors)
• Own mobile CI/CD: Fastlane, Xcode Cloud, GitHub Actions, code signing, provisioning, TestFlight, and App Store releases
• Instrument apps for observability with Datadog, Sentry, or Firebase; use real user monitoring to drive performance and reliability work
• Partner with the Growth team during customer deployments: understand workflows, defend architectural decisions, and iterate on feedback
• Raise the bar on testing, code review, and release engineering across the mobile codebase
• Mentor junior engineers and shape our mobile engineering culture as we scale
• Stay current on Apple's platforms (new iOS releases, SwiftUI evolution, on-device ML) and bring back what's worth adopting

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's in CS, engineering, math, physics, or related: demonstrated ability matters more than credential
• 2–5 years shipping production mobile applications
• Strong proficiency in Swift and modern iOS development (SwiftUI, UIKit, Combine, async/await); comfort with React Native for cross-platform work
• Have shipped apps to the App Store; you understand the full lifecycle: review, rollout, crash triage, hotfixes
• Solid grasp of mobile architecture patterns (MVVM, Coordinator, Redux-style state management), REST/GraphQL APIs, and offline-first data sync
• Experience with mobile CI/CD (Fastlane, Xcode Cloud, GitHub Actions) and code signing / provisioning
• Comfortable working from Figma and partnering closely with designers
• Familiarity with cloud integration (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and mobile observability tools (Datadog, Sentry, Firebase, Pendo)
• AI-serious: you're excited to build mobile experiences powered by LLMs and agents, including voice, vision, on-device inference, and agent-driven workflows
• Strong communication: you can explain architectural decisions to non-technical stakeholders and defend them under pressure
• Kotlin on the Android side, native module experience in React Native, or work with on-device ML (Core ML, ML Kit) is a plus
