@ 1001ai
Senior Product Engineer — 1001 (1001.ai). $30M Series A AI company, enterprise deployments. London/Europe, hybrid, GCC travel.
Frontend-focused product engineer who makes applications feel excellent, not just functional — the client's words: "someone with visual OCD." Owns quality, polish, usability, and frontend craft of enterprise product surfaces: turns rough prototypes and customer feedback into clean intuitive experiences, builds reusable frontend patterns/components/design systems, raises the frontend bar (accessibility, responsiveness, visual consistency, performance), translates complex AI/optimization/enterprise workflows into clear usable interfaces. Prototypes fast, hardens into maintainable production code.
REQUIREMENTS: 3-5 years building high-quality production frontend or full-stack products. Strong TypeScript, React, modern frontend architecture, component-driven development. Strong product taste and UX intuition — can make enterprise software feel simple, polished, modern. Owns visual design, interaction design, state management, performance, maintainability. High velocity with deep care for polish. Comfortable with customers and stakeholders. Bonus: shadcn/ui, Tailwind, Framer Motion, data-heavy dashboards, AI-native products, B2B enterprise.
CALIBRATION (ruthless): client team is from top labs and top schools and expects that bar. London/Europe strongly preferred. Profiles that resonated: design-system + Storybook + Figma depth, design-to-code talents. Look for VISIBLE CRAFT: portfolio sites, polished shipped products, design-engineering work at companies known for product quality (Linear, Vercel, Stripe, Notion, Figma, Raycast, Framer, Superhuman calibre) or elite startups. Uses AI coding agents effectively. NOT generic full-stack CRUD engineers, NOT agency/outsourcing arcs, NOT backend-first profiles with token React, NOT designers who don't ship production code.
