Role: Senior Backend Engineer, Ambient AI Location: Mountain View / SF / LA / NYC (onsite; open to relocation for the right candidate) Work: Onsite Comp: $170k–$230k base + equity Experience: 3+ years Employment: Full-time

Role summary: Build and scale the backend infrastructure supporting the Ambient Scribe platform across the largest US health systems. Python stack (Flask, Django, FastAPI); work directly with customers daily on a fast-paced team that deploys daily.

Key skills Must-have: Backend engineering, Python Strong: Flask, Django, FastAPI, Docker, Kubernetes, SRE / production reliability

Scoring criteria — Critical (must clear)

• CRITICAL 3+ years professional software development experience
• CRITICAL Strong backend programming (Python preferred given the Flask/Django/FastAPI stack)
• CRITICAL Ships fast in production (Commure deploys daily; Ambient team is fast-paced)
• CRITICAL On-site in Mountain View, SF, LA, or NYC (open to relocation)

Important (strong pluses)

• IMPORTANT Production experience with the Python web ecosystem (Flask/Django/FastAPI)
• IMPORTANT Production engineering chops (alerting, metrics, SRE)
• IMPORTANT Containers + cloud (Docker, Kubernetes)
• IMPORTANT Product sense (cares about UX and customer needs)
