ABOUT CARS24 Cars24 is Australia's largest online car dealership ā part of a global $3.3B AutoTech unicorn (India, UAE, Australia). 3 mega-hubs across the Eastern Seaboard; Laverton North is the heart of the Melbourne operation. We've built a seamless, end-to-end car-buying experience: sourcing, refurbishment, financing, aftercare, and delivery ā all under one roof. AU entity: Global Cars Aus Pty Ltd. THE ROLE Hands-on state leader. You'll run the VIC retail business end-to-end: a team of 10+ (full-time and part-time sales consultants, 4 online sales agents, 2 detailers), targeting ~170 cars/month at roughly $4k GM/car plus $1.1k aftercare upsell. You own a $100m P&L line, sit in the room on national strategy with the Business Head and CEO, and lead from the front ā knowing the floor as well as the dashboard.
WHAT YOU'LL DRIVE ⢠Sales leadership across online + onsite channels (10+ direct reports today, growing) ⢠Performance management ā coach reps to consistently hit and exceed monthly/quarterly/annual targets ⢠Aftermarket penetration ā finance, warranties, protection plans, tint/dashcam/PPF ⢠Customer experience ā CSAT/NPS reflect that car buying with us is joyful and effortless ⢠Operational collaboration with Refurb, Logistics, and CX to streamline handovers ⢠Insights & reporting ā translate conversion data, team KPIs, and feedback into action ⢠Strategic execution ā align with marketing on lead quality and ROI
WHAT YOU'LL BRING ⢠2ā3+ years leading a sales team (10+ reports), ideally in automotive, high-ticket retail, startup, enterprise high-ticket, or fast-paced consumer environments ⢠Hands-on operator, not a strategy-only exec ā comfortable on the floor ⢠Proven track record meeting/exceeding sales targets ⢠Strong coaching, team-building, communication skills ⢠Analytical mindset; data into action ⢠Customer-first, high EQ ⢠Saturday work (must ā that's when the magic happens) ⢠Australian work rights
