@ Stint
We’re looking for a Founder’s Associate to join us. We need someone sharp, ambitious, and hungry to learn. As a Founder’s Associate, you’ll report to our founder, and work directly with our CEO and leadership team on the financial, legal, and strategic priorities that drive the business forward. You’ll be in the room where the biggest decisions are made. This role is varied and ever-changing: from building the financial models that guide our strategy, to managing the legal frameworks that keep us moving, to leading special projects that could shape the next phase of Stint’s growth. We’re looking for someone with a background in investment banking, consulting, or similarly fast-paced environments who’s ready to swap client decks for building an actual business. This is a high-exposure, high-impact role where you’ll wear many hats, learn at speed, and help scale a product that’s genuinely changing an industry. We are an office-first, collaborative team and this role is based in Camden 5 days a week. What you will be doing: ● Build and maintain the financial models that inform our fundraising, strategy, and growth decisions. ● Contribute to high-stakes projects like fundraising, due diligence and product partnerships providing the analytical backbone for success. ● Act as a trusted partner to the CEO and Chief of Staff, bringing clear, data-driven recommendations on critical initiatives. ● Foster alignment across departments to ensure operational efficiency as we scale. ● Support financial and legal operations – from contracts and compliance filings to working with external counsel. ● Embrace the scrappy startup mindset: hands-on, fast-moving, and unafraid to dive into challenges big or small. ● Help shape and champion Stint’s startup culture of transparency, fast-pace and ambition. This position might suit you, if: ● You’ve got an entrepreneurial mindset - curious, proactive, and motivated by building something new from the ground up. ● You thrive in fast-moving, ever-changing environments, and see ambiguity as an opportunity rather than a blocker. ● You have 1+ years of experience in investment banking, consulting, private equity, or a similar role, ideally with exposure to startups or high-growth environments. ● You’re fluent in financial modelling and analysis, and you know how to translate numbers into clear, strategic decisions. ● You can run with big responsibilities autonomously, prioritising what matters most and delivering quickly without dropping the detail. ● You’re a clear communicator who can break down complex problems and get buy-in from different stakeholders. ● You will be comfortable with the basics of legal and compliance for scaling companies, and aren’t fazed by contracts or filings. What we can offer you: ● £60,000+ ● Private medical insurance ● A social, friendly and welcoming team based in the heart of Camden ● Office gym membership ● Ownership shares in a well-funded, growing start-up ● Dog friendly office! ● Free office fruit and snacks ● Office dinner if working late ● Regular office breakfasts and lunchesStint has two arms:
Workforce (~6 years old): short, flexible shifts (2–3 hours), largely staffed by students, into hospitality businesses. Software (last ~12 months): scheduling and forecasting software for hospitality, plus HR and payroll — full hospitality suite. Traction: software has gone from £0 to £700k ARR in the last 12 months. No other metrics or investor names to share, but we can convey “very well funded, long runway.” Differentiator to lead with: they’re the only player doing both the workforce and the scheduling software. Competitors’ scheduling tools have to work around the rigidity of clients’ existing workforces (minimum shift lengths, contracted hours). Stint pairs intelligent scheduling with a genuinely flexible labour pool, so they can run patterns no competitor can match, and deliver a cost-to-sales ratio no one else can. Untapped market with few strong incumbents.
The role Backfill for the outgoing Founders Associate, who is moving internally to product. Sits very close to the founder. Core responsibilities:
Managing the accounts they produce Board communications Maintaining the financial model Legal workstreams (e.g. fundraising contracts, share issuance) “Willing to do whatever the startup needs” — startup-mentality overlay on top of a finance-manager / strategic-finance shape Salary: JD says £60k+. Real ceiling is ~£80k. They’ll only go to the top of the range for candidates who nail the technical interviews — don’t price-anchor candidates above this.
Ideal candidate profile What we want:
Strong educational background. Oxbridge is a positive but not a hard filter; top UK universities generally welcomed. Medium filter. 1–2 years of experience, ideally ~2. Not super senior. Investing experience preferred: VC, PE, or IB. JD lists ≥1 year of investing experience — but this is a proxy. The real signal is fluency with financial models: someone who has genuinely lived inside models and can talk about them confidently. What to avoid:
Consulting / advisory firm backgrounds. They’ve interviewed several from these backgrounds and found them not technically strong enough on finance. Hard pass. Too senior. A candidate with ~5 years in VC priced themselves out. Stint isn’t raising Series C — they don’t need (or want to pay for) a strategic finance department.
